Ash of Merapi Can Fruitful Rewards

When Friday early morning (10/30/2010), we heard the news directly from our brothers that Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta back react. Mountain ash is generating intense rain. Everything is on the power of God. Jogja is so beautiful that eventually turned into a sea of dust. Although located in a distant land, we also feel how heavy and difficult experience such a calamity or disaster due to the ubiquitous short visibility, full of dust and must use a mask. Here are some valuable advice that hopefully can become an entertainer lara.

Understand Divine Providence

Dust or ash that was not fun, so did the smell of sulfur in the streets, all the calamity that is, it is part of a divine destiny. That is something that is doomed since 50,000 years before the creation of the heavens and the earth. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

"God has recorded the fate of each creature before 50,000 years before the creation of the heavens and the earth." (Narrated by Muslim, no. 2653)

What God destined it nothing can mengelaknya. In a hadith mentioned,

"You should know that something is destined will happen, maybe not escape from you and something that is destined to escape from you, it's impossible happen." (Narrated by Abu Dawud no. 4699, saheeh)

Rahimahullah Ibn al-Qayyim said, "The foundation of every good is if you know that each of God's will surely occur and any that are not God's will is not going to happen." (Al Fawaid, p.. 94)

Disaster Comes Due Maksiat

Allah Ta'ala says:

"And whatever misfortune that befall you is caused by your own hands deeds (sins), and God forgive most (from your mistakes)." (Surat ash treaties or 30)

Ibn Al Jauziyah rahimahullah Qoyyim said, "Among the consequences of sin is to eliminate delicious and disastrous results of sin is (unfortunate). Therefore, the loss of a blessing than a servant is the sin. Similarly, the arrival of these calamities are also caused by sin. "(Al Jawabul Kaafi, p.. 87)

From here, then it is duly reflected upon, may be ash rain that hit us so hard that there is actually a variety of activities for our own sins. Try to see how in our society still maintains the tradition or ritual that smells shirk, dislike wearing amulets, talismans as penglaris, the grave is so glorified and adored, and so forth. So did many rituals in the name but was never taught by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is widespread in the community and continue to be maintained. Not to mention how often some people are leaving the five prayers are obligatory. Similarly, adultery and the open-aperture clothed genitalia are considered normal in the midst of our society. This is perhaps because the coming of calamities for the sake of the calamities that befall our country, in the form of earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and others. We should have this introspection and bersegara repent to God.

'Ali ibn Abi Tholib radi' anhu said, "It is no accident that fall but because of sin. Therefore, the disaster could not be lost but with repentance. "(Al Jawabul Kaafi, p.. 87)

Face Disaster by Patience

Many complain of no use. Berate here and there will be an unpleasant sulfur smell when the rain of volcanic ash, and also no benefit. The first attitude in the face of disaster is to be patient.

Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah explained that patience is holding hearts and orally from complaining and holding the limbs of emotional behavior. (See 'Uddatush Shobirin, p.. 10)

The so-called patient is at the beginning of the disaster, not later after verbally complaining and not being emotional as a sign of blessing / patient. Because the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

"Whose name starts when the first patient should stricken by disasters." (Narrated by Bukhari no. 1283). No need to complain of calamities, resist verbal and other limbs of many grumbled and was unhappy. Face calamity with patience.

There Ease Behind Difficulties

Rest assured that behind every difficulty there must be ease. Beyond the difficulty there is a way out. Allah Ta'ala says:

"Because real hardship there is ease." (Surah Alam Nasyroh: 5)

This verse was repeated after that,

"Verily after difficulty there is relief." (Surah Alam Nasyroh: 6). Qotadah says, "Narrated to us that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam never give glad tidings to his companions with the paragraph above, and then he said,

"One difficulty is impossible to beat two of convenience." (Released by Ibn Jarir Ath Thobari in the book of tafsir, 24/496)

The difficulties that befall the moment, anywhere it must face the Terbangan dust here and there, visibility when driving any less, it's only for a moment, not throughout the year (insha Allah) and not forever, because there must be ease. So it does not need to anxious and despair.

Try to see how God provides a better change to a disaster as a Muslim hand over everything to God and be patient. Umm Salamah-one of the wives of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam-said that he never heard the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,

"Anyone from a disaster-stricken servant and he said:" Inna wa inna lillahi ilaihi rooji'un. FII Allahumma'jurnii mushibatii wa akhlif Lii khoiron minhaa [All things belong to God and will return to Him. O Allah, grant rewards toward disaster ang happen to me and give change to a better] ", then God will give him reward in musibahnya and replace it with something better." When Abu Salamah (my husband) died, I also mention prayer as the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam commanded me. God had given me a better husband than my husband who used the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. "(Narrated by Muslim, no. 918)

There Delicious Agony Behind

Actually, behind the pain there is a larger enjoyed a Muslim. If the face of calamity with patience, there is a reward. That is because the ash trim, for example, we can achieve when faced musibas reward those with patience.

Similarly, pain can be a blessing because with a disaster, everyone is reminded to immediately return to God. Finally he was obedient, much pleading and praying to God.

Rahimahullah Ibn Taymiyyah said, "Among the blessings of God perfect in His servants who believe, He's down on their difficulties and suffering. Due to this they suffer mentauhidkan him (just hope the ease of God, pen). They had a lot of praying to Him in doing sincere. They had no hope except to Him. In these difficult times, their hearts were always depend on Him, not turn to other than Him. Finally they bertawakkal and return to Him and feel the sweetness of faith. They also felt the joy of faith and feeling so valuable it apart from shirk (because they do not apply to other than Allah). This is as big as favors upon them. This blessing was more remarkable than the loss of sick pleasure, loss of fear, loss of drought that hit, or because of the ease or difficulty in loss of life. Because the delicious delights of the world body and others can be found to the Gentiles, and can also be found by the believers. "(Majmu 'al-Fataawa, 10/333)

As a result of suffering, due to the disaster, due to difficulties, we also feel close to God and want to return to Him. So not suffering is suffering. Suffering could be a blessing as he described. Agony can increase pain if someone actually complain and make the creature as a place to complain suffered. Only to God should we expect convenience and out of various difficulties.

Favors when we return to God and His bertawakkal on and a lot of pleading to Him, it is more enjoyable than suffering the loss of the existing world. Due back on God and on His resignation is just delicious owned beings who believe and do not found the people who disbelieve. While delicious loss of pain and other suffering, it can be found on the infidels and the believers.

Remember this good advice. Hopefully we can continue to be patient and be patient. Patience is no limit. Because Allah Almighty promised,

"Those who are patient, the reward for them is without measure (infinity)." (Surah Az Zumar: 10). As Sudi said that the reward of those who patience is Paradise. (Tafsir Al-Quran Al 'Azhim, 7 / 89)

May Allah make it easy in the face of tragedy for the family and our brothers the Muslims who are in Yogyakarta. May God bestow fortitude and patience. Aamiin Yes Mujibas Sa'ilin.
