By: Badrul Tamam

Monday, November 8, 2010 Miladiyah, we're already on the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah 1431 Hijri. This means virtues first ten days already come into force since yesterday evening until the end of the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah. [Read: the nobility and virtue of the First Ten Days Month Dhu al-Hijjah]

Actually found the first ten days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah is a great blessing from Allah to His servants. Because she helped him get the season obedience to earn merit and forgiveness. Hence for a Muslim should be aware of this blessing and thanked her. Way, sincere in carrying out compliance and reproduce than the previous days. As this is the matter of the salaf in using the first ten days Dzilhijjah.

Abu Uthman al-Nahdi rahimahullaah said, "They (the Salaf) glorifies the three ten days: the last ten days of Ramadan, the first ten days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, and the first ten days of Muharram." (Al-Ma'arif Lathaif: 39)

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas radhiyallaahu 'anhuma, shallallaahu Prophet, upon him blessings and peace,

"There is no one righteous deeds are more beloved by God than pious charity performed on these days (ie first 10 days of the month Dhul Hijjah)." The Companions asked: "There is no jihad in Allah's way?" Prophet shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "There is no jihad in the path of Allah, except those who left for jihad with soul and his wealth but no one returned none." (Narrated by al-Bukhari, Abu Daud, Ibn Majah, al-Tirmidhi and others).

The above hadith shows that good deeds on these days more loved by God than done in any other. It also shows the primacy of good deeds in it and the reward is great. All good deeds multiplied rewards without exception.

From Ibn Abbas radhiyallaahu 'anhuma, shallallaahu Prophet, upon him blessings and peace, "No one is more noble deeds with Allah' Azza wa Jalla and greater reward than the good that is done on the ten-Adha." It says, "There is no jihad fi sabilillah "He replied," There is no jihad in the path of Allah, except those who go jihad with soul and his wealth but no one returned none. " (Narrated by al-Darimi with a hasan isnads and is mentioned by al-Albani in Irwa 'al-Ghalil: 3 / 398)

In between acts of worship and obedience that is prescribed in the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah are:

1. Performing Hajj and Umrah.

This is the most important acts of worship on this day. There are some hadiths that show the glory of these deeds, among them the Prophet shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam,

"Umrah Umrah one to the other is for the sin kafarah between them. While the hajj Mabrur no replies except paradise. "(Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)

2. Fasting on these days or in part, especially on the day of 'Arafah.

Narrated by Imam Muslim from Abu Qatadah, shallallaahu of the Prophet, upon him blessings and peace,

"Fasting the day of Arafah, I hope to God would have wiped out (sins) which has been a year ago and a year thereafter." (Narrated by Muslim)

3. Bertakbir and dhikr in those days.

Allah Ta'ala says:

".... And mention the name of God in the days that have been determined ... " (Surat al-Hajj: 28)

The commentators interpret it with ten days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. Therefore, the scholars recommend Dhikr in these days, based on the hadith of Ibn Umar radhiyallaahu 'anha,

"There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and good deeds in it are more beloved by Him than ten days (the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah), hence perbanyaklah tahlil, Takbir, and tahmid in it." (Narrated by Ahmad 7 / 224, Shaikh Ahmad Shakir menshahihkan isnad).

Rahimahullah Imam Bukhari said that Ibn Umar and Abu Hurairah radi 'anhuma out to the market in ten days as she proclaimed the Takbir then followed takbirnya orangpun. And Ishaq, rahimahullaah, narrated from the jurists', Successors that in these days to say:

الله أكبر, الله أكبر, لا إله إلا الله, والله أكبر ولله الحمد

"Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, There is no Ilah (gods) besides Allah Yang Haq. And Allah is the Greatest, Allah is Great, praise be to Allah only." And there's more that other forms of Takbir.

It is advisable to amplify sound in bertakbir when in the market, houses, roads, mosques and others. As word of God.

"And you shall glorify God for His guidance given to you ..." (Surat al-Baqara: 185)

Not allowed to carry a Takbir together, by gathering at a gathering and spoke with one voice (choir). This was never done by the Salaf. Which according to the Sunnah is bertakbir each person individually. This applies to all dhikr and prayer, except for not understanding that he must learn to follow others. And allowed to dhikr with the easy-easy, such as: Takbir, rosary and other prayer-prayer is prescribed.

Not allowed to carry a Takbir together, by gathering at a gathering and spoke with one voice (choir). This was never done by the Salaf.

4. Repent and leave the various disobedience and sin. The hope, good deeds were brought forgiveness and mercy. Because actual disobedience was the cause of a person away from God and not get his mercy. In contrast, compliance becomes a cause close to God and receive His mercy. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah radhiyallaahu 'anhu, the Prophet shallallaahu' alaihi wasallam said, "Surely God is jealous, and jealousy of God, if someone violates what He forbade." (Muttafaq 'alaih)

5. Increase the righteous deeds such as prayer, charity, jihad, reading the Qur'an, beramar nahi ma'ruf and evil, and other righteous deeds. And the righteous deeds are held on these days will be multiplied her reward. Shallallaahu Prophet, upon him blessings and peace,

"There is no one righteous deeds are more beloved by God than pious charity performed on these days (ie first 10 days of the month Dhul Hijjah)." The Companions asked: "There is no jihad in Allah's way?" Prophet shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "There is no jihad in the path of Allah, except those who left for jihad with soul and his wealth but no one returned none." (Narrated by al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah).

Actually, all good deeds are loved by God. However, if implemented in the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah will be more loved by God. Its meaning, its reward is also greater and doubled when compared to other days.

6. Prescribed to carry out 'udhiyyah (slaughtering of sacrificial animals) on day Nahar (dated 10 Dhu al-Hijjah), which followed three days later, ie Tasyriq Ayyam.

Slaughtering animals is the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice 'alaihis greetings, that is when God redeemed her son, Ishmael, with a great slaughter of animals. There is also a hadeeth narrated that the Prophet shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has sacrificed two sheep with a white and horned. He slaughtered the sheep with his own two hands. He mentioned the name of God and bertakbir and put his feet on the side of the front legs of sheep. "(Muttafaq 'alaih)

7. Prohibited from removing or cutting hair and nails for those who want to sacrifice.

Narrated by Muslim and others, from Umm Salamah radhiyallhu 'anha that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said.

"If you see the new moon Dhul Hijjah and one of you wants to sacrifice, then he shall refrain from (cut) hair and nails." In another narration: "So he must not take anything from hair or nails so that she sacrifice."

This is, perhaps, to resemble those who perform the pilgrimage that leads sacrificial animal. Word of God.

"..... And do not you shave (hair) head, before offering to the slaughter ... " (Surat al-Baqara: 196).

This prohibition, according to zhahirnya, only reserved for those who sacrifice, not including his wife and his children, except if each of their sacrifice. And allowed to wet hair and rubbed it, although there are some hair loss.

8. Implementing Iedul Adha prayers and listen to his sermon.

Every Muslim should understand the wisdom disyariatkannya this feast. Today is a day of gratitude and charitable benevolence. Must not be used as a day of pride and arrogance; not be used as an opportunity adulterous and wallow in kemungkaran such as singing-singing, gambling, drunkenness and the like. kemungkaran-kemungkaran this will lead to nullify the good deeds performed for ten days. And Allaah knows best.
