The Nature of Love to The Prophet

Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, which means everything that comes from the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, good words, deeds and determination he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam [1], has a very great position in Islam, because Allah Subhanahu wa Exalted makes the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam as explanatory and penjabar of the noble Qur'an, which is the main source of Islamic law. Therefore, without understanding the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam well, one is not possible to practice Islam correctly.

Allaah says,

وأنزلنا إليك الذكر لتبين للناس ما نزل إليهم ولعلهم يتفكرون

"And We sent down to thee the Koran, so that you explain to people what has been revealed to them (from Allaah), so they think." (Surat an-Nahl: 44).

When Umm Believers 'Aisha radhiallahu' anha asked about the morals (of conduct) Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he replied, "Really, morals Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam is the Koran." [2] This means, that Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam was the most perfect in understanding and practice the contents of the Koran, to enforce its laws and adorn themselves with adab-adabnya. [3] Thus, the most perfect person to understand and practice the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he was the most perfect in sticking to and practice the religion of the Koran and Islam as a whole.

Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal-may Allah Almighty bless him-said, "(Including) runway (main) Sunna (Islamic law) according to (view) us (Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama) is that the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is interpreter and arguments (which explains the meaning of) the Qur'an. "[4]
Hence, the scholars Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama define Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam as something that includes Islamic law as a whole, good words, deeds and beliefs. [5]

Imam Abu Muhammad al-Barbahari [6] said, "Know that Islam is the Sunnah and the Sunnah that he was Muslim, each of the two will not erect without anybody else." [7]

The meaning of love and glorifying the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam actual

Allah Almighty says,

قل إن كنتم تحبون الله فاتبعوني يحببكم الله ويغفر لكم ذنوبكم والله غفور رحيم

"Say, if you (really) love Allah, then follow (sunnah / guide) me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, God is Forgiving, Merciful." (Surat Ali 'Imran: 31).

Imam Ibn Kathir, when interpreting this verse says, "this noble verse is a judge (breaker case) for every person who claims to love God, but he did not follow the path (Sunnah), Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then he is a person who lie in the recognition that in this problem, until he is willing to follow the Shari'a and the religion (which is carried by) the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in all words, acts and circumstances. "[8]

Imam al-Qadi 'Iyadh al-Yahshubi said, "Know that he who loves something, then he will mengutamakannya and tried to imitate him. Otherwise, it means he is not considered correct in kecintaanya and only admit-I (without evidence). So people in the (recognition) love the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is if visible sign (evidence) love it on him. Sign (evidence) of love to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam the main thing is (to) emulate his sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, practice the Sunnah, follow all the words and deeds, carry out all orders and away from its ban, and adorn themselves with adab-adab ( ethics) that he (demonstrated), in difficult circumstances as well as happy and or in adversity. "[9]

Based on the above, it is clear that the loving and glorifying the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam who actually is to emulate the instructions and Sunnah, he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, by trying to learn and practice it well. And is not love and glorifying the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam by doing deeds of heresy [10] under the guise of love to his sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, or praise and mensifati he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam to excess, by placing his alaihi wa sallam exceed the position that Allaah has placed him at her. [11]

In a saheeh hadeeth, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Do not praise me excessively and go beyond the limit, as Christian people exceed the limits in praise (Prophet Jesus), son of Mary, because actually I am only a servant of God, say : servant of Allah and His Messenger. "[12]

This is the meaning of love to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam who understood and diamalkan by the best generations of this Ummah, the Companions radhiallahu' anhum. Anas bin Malik radhiallahu 'anhu said, "No one of the most beloved by the friends Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam than he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, but if they see he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, they do not stand up (to honor He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), because they know that the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam hate doing it. "[13]

How perfect love of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in us?

Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali divide degrees (tingakatan) love the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam into two tingakatan, which means that by perfecting these two levels will have a perfect love to the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, which is a sign of perfection faith in him.

Two levels are:

1 - Levels of fardhu (mandatory), which is love (to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) that contain the consequences of accepting and taking all the instructions brought by the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam from Allah by (full flavor), love, pleasure, respect and obedient, and not to seek guidance from other than the way (sunnah), he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam as a whole. Then, follow with a good religion that he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam to say of God, to justify all the news that he was to say, manaati all liability which he commanded, maninggalkan of banning all forbidden acts, as well as help and jihad (defend) his religion, in accordance with fatherly abilities (deal with) those who opposed it. This level must be met (by every Muslim) and without faith (one's) will not be perfect.

2 - Depth Fadhl (virtue / honor), which is love (to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) that contain the consequences of imitation he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam well, following the Sunnah, he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam correctly, in behavior, adab (ethics), devotions sunnah (recommended), eat, drink, clothing, good relationships with family, and all civilized he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam that he is perfect and holy character. Also pay attention to (large) to understand the history and life's journey he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, feeling happy in the heart with love, revere and glorify his sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, enjoyed listening to speech (hadith), he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, and always (prefer) saying he sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam above in addition to his speech. And including the most important in this stage is to emulate his sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam his ascetic attitude toward the world, suffice himself with roughing it (simple) in the world, and the love he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam told (the perfect reply) in the hereafter ( later). "[14]

The virtues follow the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam

Allaah says,

لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجو الله واليوم الآخر وذكر الله كثيرا

"Indeed there has been on (myself) that the Messenger of Allah a good example for you (that is) for people who expect (grace) of God and (the good replies on) the Day of Resurrection and he is much mention of God." (Surah al-Ahzaab: 21).

This noble verse shows the glory and the virtue of following the sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, because Allaah alone calling all acts Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam as a "good example", which shows that people who emulate sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam means he has traveled ash-shirathal mustaqim (straight path) that will take him to get the glory and the grace of Allah' Azza wa Jalla. [15]

When interpreting this verse, Imam Ibn Kathir said, "this noble verse is a great foundation in imitation of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in all words, deeds and things he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam." [16]

Then the word of Allaah at the end of this verse suggests faidah important one to ponder, the attachment between the imitation of the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with perfect faith in Allah and the Last Day, which means that the spirit and sincerity of a Muslim to emulate the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is the sign of the perfection of his faith.

Sheikh Abdurrahman as-Sa'di when explaining the meaning of the verse above says, "Good Example (on self Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), which will get taufik (of Allaah) to follow him just people who expect (grace) of God and (replies goodness) in the hereafter. Due to (perfection) of faith, the fear of God, and hope the good response and the fear of punishment of God, this is what motivates someone to imitate (the Sunnah), Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. "[17]

From the description above, it is clear to us the meaning of love sunna Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam real, and it is clear the primacy and glory to follow the Sunnah, he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam.

So it should be, a Muslim who claimed to love the Messenger sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, moreover, who claimed to be Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama, was the most passion in studying and applying the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam in attitude and behavior. In particular, in the current era when sunna Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam be foreign and rare diamalkan in the midst of the Muslims themselves. Because, a Muslim who practice a Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam who have forgotten, he will get two virtue (reward) as well, namely the practice of virtue and virtue itself Sunnah turn in the middle of humans who have forgotten it.

Shaykh Muhammad Salih al-'Utsaimin BiH said, "Verily, the Sunnah Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam when increasingly forgotten, then (virtue) to practice any strong commensal (large), because (people who practice it) will get the virtues of the practice (sunnah itself ) and (virtue) spread (turn) sunnah among humans. "[18]

In closing, let us bear in mind with the advice of Imam al-Khatiib al-Baghdadi [19] following, "the prosecutor: Recommendations of Hadeeth (the followers of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama manhaj), (trying to) distinguish themselves from the habits of ordinary people in all matters (behavior and attitude) it, to (try to) practice guidelines Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam as much as possible, and familiarize themselves practice the Sunnah-Sunnah, he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:

لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة

"Indeed, existing at the (self), the Messenger was a good role model for you." (Surah al-Ahzaab: 21).
